Have you applied for and received your FMCSA Freight Broker Authority (OP-17) with a Broker MC Number, and has your authority been granted?
Have you obtained your $75,000 surety bond (BMC-84) or established a trust fund agreement (BMC-85) and filed it with FMCSA as required by 49 U.S.C. § 13906?
Have you filed your BOC-3 (Designation of Process Agents) with FMCSA through a registered process agent service?
Have you completed your UCR (Unified Carrier Registration) as a broker for the current year?
Have you registered your business as an LLC or corporation, obtained an EIN, and opened a dedicated business bank account for your brokerage?
