2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time (see Section 6). We do not sell lead form data to third parties.

5. Payment Processing

All payment transactions are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. BridgeWorks Academy does not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment card data. Your billing information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We retain records of completed transactions (amount, date, program purchased) for accounting and customer support purposes.

6. Email Communications

We send two types of email communications:

  • Transactional Emails: Order confirmations, payment receipts, course access notifications, certificate issuance, password resets, and account security alerts. These emails are necessary for platform operation and cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.
  • Marketing Emails: Course announcements, promotional offers, platform updates, and educational newsletters. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us at team@bridgeworks-academy.madethis.app.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information in your account.

8. Data Retention

Transaction records are retained for 7 years for accounting and tax compliance. You may request deletion of non-essential data at any time, subject to these retention requirements.

9. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Platform Hosting: Our platform is hosted through MadeThis (madethis.com) and Vercel. Your data may be stored on servers operated by these providers in the United States.
  • Database Services: Convex (convex.dev) provides our real-time database infrastructure.
  • Analytics Providers: We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with our platform. Aggregate, anonymized data is used for platform improvement.
  • Payment Processing: Stripe processes all payment transactions. See Section 5 for details.
  • Email Delivery: We use email service providers to deliver transactional and marketing communications.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Third-party service providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
